Mail-cleaner.com servers are configured to refuse messages from some sender networks and servers, at the request of our users and clients. Our goal is to block as much unwanted e-mail as possible, while minimizing any blocking of legitimate and wanted e-mail.
You may be viewing this page in response to a returned e-mail message with the following text:
"Message refused - see http://mail-cleaner.com/refused-2.html"
In this case, your message was refused by our servers because your server address or network address is listed on one or more spam blacklists used by mail-cleaner.com to block unwanted e-mail.
The "Message refused." line will contain additional information about the specific spam blacklist involved. You can visit the provided web site for information about why your server or network address is listed on the blacklist, and for information about getting removed from the blacklist. We encourage you to pass this information along to your system and network administrators or technical support group, so that they may follow up.
If you have a pre-existing business or personal relationship with the intended recipient of your message, or are making an individual effort to contact the intended recipient, please do not be discouraged. We suggest initially contacting the intended recipient via telephone, fax, or using some alternate e-mail address or access provider on your end. We do our best to adjust our servers to permit your e-mail in response to requests from our users and clients. We do not maintain these shared spam blacklists, so are unable to remove listings or resolve problems you may be having sending e-mail to other recipients. The spam blacklists we use are widely used, so even though we may be able to make local accommodations to permit your messages to our clients and users, you may still have trouble sending e-mail to other recipients so long as your server or network is blacklisted.
If you are sending bulk e-mail which has not been specifically requested by the intended recipient, please reconsider. Providing an opt-out link or "targeting" your prospects is not in our views an acceptable solution to the spam problem. It is the policy of mail-cleaner.com not to accept bulk or "targeted" e-mail messages which have not been specifically solicited by our users and clients. We do not adjust our filtering at the request of third parties to create exceptions to these policies.
